Holly Garman, Publicist/Founder
With a diverse background in food. spirits, music and theater, Holly brings a unique blend of creativity, passion and strategic planning to her life as a publicist--generating major results and leaving a lasting impact for each client she represents.
Holly began her career as a press liaison at The Comcast Center for the Performing Arts (formerly Great Woods) outside of Boston where she guided on-site press efforts for Elton John, Cher, Ringo Starr, Aerosmith, Graham Nash, Phil Collins, Bon Jovi and more.
After leading agency and in-house PR teams for Gillette, Polaroid, Bacardi & Chapstick, she opened HMG Public Relations in 2009—now a full service, boutique firm working extensively with leading national media outlets and a diverse client roster including The Broadway Brews Project; Arts in the Armed Forces, Tidal New York, Graham Windham, Misty Boyce (Sara Bareilles/Joy Williams), Rockwood Music Hall Recordings, and Gun Hill Tavern to name a few.
She has developed media relations programs for industry leaders, start-ups alike resulting in national coverage in The New York Times, Charlie Rose Show, The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, Conan, and Rolling Stone.
Holly lives in Port Washington, NY- just outside of NYC. She spends quite lot of time in Brooklyn, the Upper West Side and everything in between. She is addicted to Zabar's and HMG are not her initials. Well, not the M anyway. Go figure…
