Holly Garman, Publicist/Founder
With a diverse background in fashion, food , music and theater, Holly brings a unique blend of creativity, passion and strategic planning to her life as a publicist--generating major results and leaving a lasting impact for each client she represents.
Holly began her career as a press liaison at The Comcast Center for the Performing Arts (formerly Great Woods) outside of Boston where she guided on-site press efforts for Elton John, Cher, Ringo Starr, Aerosmith, Graham Nash, Phil Collins, Bon Jovi and more.
After leading agency teams for Gillette, Polaroid, Bacardi & Chapstick, she opened HMG Public Relations in 2009—now a full service, boutique firm working extensively with leading national media outlets for a diverse client roster including The Broadway Brews Project; Arts in the Armed Forces, Tidal New York, Graham Windham, Misty Boyce (Sara Bareilles/Joy Williams), Rockwood Music Hall Recordings, and Gun Hill Tavern to name a few.
She has developed media relations programs for industry leaders eMusic.com and The Orchard and coordinated on-site artist press at major music festivals including Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza & SXSW.
In addition, she has produced five CMJ music festival showcases, orchestrates national tour press, and album/video releases.
Holly lives in Port Washington- just outside of NYC. She spends quite lot of time in Brooklyn, the Lower East Side and is on a first-name basis with the attendants at the Essex Street municipal parking garage. She is addicted to The Meatball Shop and HMG are not her initials. Well, not the M anyway. Go figure…
